As technology becomes more and more a part of the medical field, we here at Platte Health Center/Avera have recognized the need for telemedicine. Platte Health Center is a regional Avera Telehealth provider, and for the patient that means easy access to specialized care without the need for travel.
When one of our health care providers schedules a Telehealth visit for you, it is much like a regular office visit. You will check in, and a nurse will prepare you for the consultation with a specialist in another Avera Health facility. You and the specialist will be able to see and speak to each other during the visit, so you will be able to ask any questions you might have.
