an ongoing interest in the wellbeing of clients using the program by
offering free Diabetes Continuing Care Clinics two times yearly for
review of diabetes control for those with diabetes.
Diabetes Support Group meetings are held four times yearly, (February, May, August, and November) usually the 3rd Tuesday of the month. These offer information on a wide variety of diabetes related topics and encouragement to those attending to continue diabetes control routines, as well as offer peer support. Community education is promoted by yearly diabetes screenings held usually with the Platte Home Show and a large group outreach diabetes education day that has been offered to the local Huetterite Colonies. Staff is available to speak on diabetes related topics to the general community when requested. | |
