Platte Medical Clinic, Avera Health was established in the early 1960's by Dr. E. F. Kalda and Dr. L. P. Mills. It was known as the Platte Medical Clinic. Two physicians and two physician assistant's provide care on a full-time basis at the clinic. In addition, several physicians on staff at Avera Queen of Peace in Mitchell provide specialized care on a regular basis.
The following services are provided at Platte Medical Clinic, Avera Health:

  • Mid-level provider available five days a week

  • Management of chronic health care needs

  • Diabetes

  • Emergencies

  • Sports physicals

  • Routine and specialized exams for men, women and children

  • Immunizations

  • Preventive health care

    for specialized needs
